葡萄酒与烈酒基金会（WSET）成立于1969年，在设计和教授产业认可的葡萄酒和烈酒资格的教育规划上有40年的经历。曾经每年有27，000名考生参加 WSET考试，是葡萄酒与烈酒行业最大的供应商。现在世界上有53个国家教授WSET课程。
WSET课程和资格从初学者到专家共有5等。包括葡萄酒和烈酒的产品知识和WSET特别注重的葡萄酒和烈酒的品酒技巧。它给从事葡萄酒和烈酒行业的人员和对这一领域有兴趣的人提供高品质的的培训课程。
作为国际规划的一部分，WSET资格认证世界各地都有项目授权者。被授权的教师经过严格的考察以确定他们能提供高标准的教学，使学生们能通过WSET的资格考试。
