WSET Awards of Excellence - Advanced 2009 Winners

Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits Scholarships

The top 30 students who have achieved either a Pass with Distinction or Pass with Merit are invited to the Advanced Certificate Scholarship Competition which takes place every November.  They are required to verbally answer questions on 9 different wine/spirit regions as well as a blind tasting.

Ariadne  The David Burroughs Scholarship
Sponsored by the WSET and named in memory of the Trust's first Chief Executive.  A place on a WSET study tour to a major wine or spirit producing region.

Three bursaries, sponsored by The Vintners' Company, used towards the cost of a foreign study tour.

United Kingdom Vineyards Association Prize
A programme of events organised throughout the vineyard year: seasonal visits to appropriate English Vineyards, an invitation to the National Competition and the November Symposium plus a case of English Wine.

The Incorporation of Coopers of Glasgow Scholarship
