Join us as we celebrate #ChardonnayDay in partnership with the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB) to explore this grape variety which has made the reputation of Bourgogne wines all over the world.
Bourgogne wines are synonymous with Chardonnay grapes, but these are closely linked to the terroir and history of the region. Throughout this one-hour session, you are invited to discuss the history of this grape in Bourgogne, the evolution of the style of wines in the region due to the vinification process and other parameters with two wine experts from different parts of the world. This is an excellent opportunity to keep updated with what is going on in the region and celebrate Chardonnay around the world.

Christian Oggenfuss DipWSET, Bourgogne Wine Ambassador and Founder, Napa Valley Wine Academy
Christian Oggenfuss DipWSET, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Napa Valley Wine Academy, is a passionate wine industry spokesman and educator. He holds the French Wine Scholar (FWS), Italian Wine Professional (IWP), American Wine Expert (AWE), and is one of only 64 Bourgogne Wine Ambassadors in the world. He brings 20+ years of wine experience to the wine education arena as a marketer and brand builder for wine brands including Stags’ Leap Winery, Etude, Beringer Vineyards, Benziger Family PlumpJack Estate Winery, Odette Estate, CADE Estate Winery, St. Clement, and V. Sattui Winery.
Christian is a Swiss-born entrepreneur and has successfully launched wine-related businesses in Switzerland and travelled extensively to all major wine regions in Europe and North America. He is fluent in Schwiizerdütsch (Swiss-German) and English. Additionally, he is a Certified Champagne Wine Location Specialist (Champagne Bureau) and a Certified Port Wine Location Specialist (Port Wine Institute).
Andrea Pritzker MW, Bourgogne Wine Ambassador and Founder, Wine inTuition
Andrea Pritzker is a Master of Wine and is the founder of Wine inTuition, a wine education and corporate events business in Sydney. A certified WSET educator, she also works as an independent wine consultant, wine judge, writer, and public speaker. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, she obtained a Diploma in Wine Commerce in Bordeaux, France, before moving to Australia in 2003. Andrea's diverse career in the wine trade has spanned wholesale, retail, fine wine auction, digital marketing and buying. She became a Master of Wine in 2015. Andrea is Australia’s Burgundy Wine Ambassador and is the co-coordinator for the Master of Wine education programme in Australasia. She is also a current member of Council of the Institute of Masters of Wine.
