Join us for an exploration of Trepat, the indigenous black grape variety that defines the notable wines from Conca de Barberà. This session, presented by Xavier Pacheco Carmona DipWSET, will take you on a journey through the history, cultivation and unique characteristics of Trepat, providing the opportunity to learn about the flavours and styles associated with this variety.

Xavier Pacheco Carmona, DipWSET - Sommelier and Wine Educator. 

Born in Sabadell, Barcelona, Xavier Pacheco Carmona is a renowned sommelier and wine educator. Originally trained as an electronic engineer, Xavier's passion for wine led him to transform his career. He began his journey at Bodegas Miguel Torres and worked with other prestigious wineries, including Cavas Nadal and Cavas Agustí Torelló Mata. He also gained experience in the spirits industry with Bacardí and in wine distribution with Vila Viniteca.

Xavier is WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines qualified and is actively pursuing the Master of Wine qualification. He has been teaching wine and spirits for over 15 years, instructing aspiring sommeliers at CETT School in Barcelona and The Wine Studio in Madrid.
