Bordeaux, renowned for its tradition and high-quality wines, is continually evolving to address contemporary challenges. Join winemaker and Bordeaux expert, Sabine Silvestrini, as she delves into the latest innovations and initiatives shaping the future of Bordeaux’s vineyards.

In this session, WSET Alumni will be invited to explore the cutting-edge trends, sustainable practices, and technical advancements in response to climate change. Sabine will also discuss the region's carbon plan, including challenges and strategies to reduce the Bordeaux’s carbon footprint.

This event is held collaboration with WSET Bronze Partner, Vins de Bordeaux.

Sabine Silvestrini - Winemaker, Vignobles Silvestrini

Sabine Silvestrini took over the family-owned estate in 2017, after 10 years working side by side with her parents. 'Vignobles Silvestrini' spans 34 hectares across the Lussac Saint-Émilion, Montagne Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol appellations. Founded by her grand father in 1958, the vineyard has grown into a recognized name in the region.

For the past 20 years, Sabine has also been an accredited tutor at the Bordeaux Wine School. With deep expertise in every stage of winemaking and a strong commitment to biodiversity, she shares her knowledge and passion with professionals and enthusiasts alike.
