This vast sector covers independent wine merchants, craft beer stores, specialist spirits shops, large chains, cellar door retailers and much more. Many supermarkets also hire wine specialists, while online retailing continues to go from strength to strength.

A new social impact case study highlighting how WSET, Wine Education Co., APTC and local partners worked together to bring the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines to the Solomon Islands. The programme supported 23 hospitality and tourism professionals with accessible wine education, building confidence, skills and new career pathways in one of the Pacific’s lowest-income nations.
