This one-day course is perfect for sake enthusiasts eager to explore the fundamentals. In just a day, you'll gain confidence in tasting sake, understanding its production process, choosing bottles, and pairing it with food.
Led by a certified sake educator and Sake Samurai Natsuki Kikuya, this premium course takes place in a luxurious setting within the OWO; starting the morning at Kioku Bar on the ground level and moving up to its private room - 'The Turret' - on the rooftop for lunch and afternoon tasting.
Alongside the course, guests will enjoy a curated menu featuring teas and coffees, pastries, and an exceptional five-course lunch designed to highlight the sake experience.
Participants will sample an exceptional range of premium sakes, followed by an exclusive tour of Sake Safe at Kioku Bar.
The day concludes with a 30-question multiple-choice test to earn your WSET Level 1 Award in Sake certificate and lapel pin, finished off with a celebratory sake toast.

By the end of the course you’ll know the principal categories of sake available, what defines them and what characteristics to expect from them. About the educator, Natsuki Kikuya
Natsuki's sake journey began in 2009 when she worked in Tokyo's sake retail shop, Hasegawa Saketen, then later as a Sake Sommelier at Zuma & Roka restaurants in London. In 2013, she launched Museum of Sake, an agency that provides education and promotes sake.
In 2014, together with WSET's Antony Moss MW, Natsuki developed and launched the WSET Level 3 Award in Sake, which she now teaches for us at WSET School London.
In 2015, she was honoured to receive the title of 'Sake Samurai' from the Japanese government for her services to its national drink.
