Australia has built much of its international reputation on international grape varieties such as Shiraz and Chardonnay. But over recent years there has been a shift toward a wider range of varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Assyrtiko, Nebbiolo, Touriga Nacional and many more!
In this hour long webinar Julia Lambeth DipWSET will talk about the factors that contribute to the successful growing of these grapes, some of the reasons behind the selection of particular 'alternative' varieties, the challenges in importing ‘new’ varieties and which regions you can find them in.
