Event details
Wine webinar
Cabernet Franc is often overshadowed by its better-known offspring, Cabernet Sauvignon - this webinar aims to shine the spotlight on this historic grape. Richard Lane DipWSET, journalist and recent WSET School London Diploma graduate, will explore the variety's spiritual home in the Loire Valley, its importance in blends in Bordeaux, along with its cultivation further afield including some of the great expressions found in South America and its use for Icewine in Canada. Richard will discuss the grape’s heritage, its key characteristics and regions of production including how climate change is influencing the styles of wines produced.
As part of the webinar, Richard will taste the following two wines:
- Chinon ‘Le Temps des Cerises, Domaine de la Noblaie 2019
- Tabalí Vetas Blancas Cabernet Franc 2017
Feel free to purchase the same and taste alongside! Otherwise, feel free to join with a glass of wine of your choice. Let us know what you're tasting on Instagram:
