Event details
Wine webinar
Portugal's Douro Valley is one of the most scenic wine regions in the world. Steep, terraced vineyards, often protected by UNESCO heritage status, line the banks of the River Douro as it twists and turns towards the city of Vila Nova de Gaia.
It is in the Douro that grapes are grown for the production of Port - a sweet fortified wine with a long-standing reputation for high quality wines, some of which can age for decades. In this webinar, Chris Martin DipWSET, Head of Educator Training at WSET and Port aficionado, will take you through the history of the region and its growing conditions before taking a look at the various wine production processes and maturation options that define the different styles of Port. And, as it's nearly Christmas, Chris will also suggest some festive Port pairings to inspire your holiday sipping.
Feel free to join with a glass of Port of your choice. Let us know what you're tasting on Instagram:
