Can you tell your Chassagne from Chile, or your Saint-Estèphe from Stellenbosch? Come to our blind tasting and find out!
Event details
Many people consider France as home to the world's finest wines. Bottles from Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux attract the most investors, hold the highest status and command the top prices. But are other regions catching up?
Join Anjali Douglas DipWSET for a blind tasting of four pairs of wines (eight wines in total). In each pair, one wine will be from a premium French region and the other will be a well-made example from further afield. Your job will be to guess which is which...
Come along to test your blind tasting abilities, challenge your preconceptions, or simply try some incredible wines.
About the presenter, Anjali Douglas DipWSET
Anjali worked in hospitality while studying her A-Levels, never intending to make a career out of it. She then started working in education for museums and galleries, producing events and festivals to attract diverse audiences. She caught the wine bug five years ago and returned to hospitality, starting her new career in a wine bar, before moving on to become responsible for training hospitality staff and sommeliers for a wine distributor. Now, she teaches Levels 1-2 at WSET School London. No matter what industry she is in, Anjali’s aim is to open up conventionally elitist institutions, art forms, and beverages, to more.
