Join educator Michael Buriak DipWSET to taste and compare two wines using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) for Level 2 and 3, and find out how the technique evolves as you progress your learning.
Event details
Students learn to taste in a logical, systematic, and professional manner on our WSET courses. You're introduced to the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT), which is specifically designed to build your skills progressively as you move through the different qualification levels.
During this one-hour session, WSET School London educator Michael Buriak DipWSET will talk through the differences in tasting technique between the WSET Levels 2-3 Awards in Wines, to help you understand the knowledge and skills that you'll develop on our higher level qualifications.
This is a great opportunity for any students who have completed the Level 2 course to get an understanding of what is required at Level 3, because that will be the first time that tasting ability is assessed as part of the qualification.
Who is this session for?
- Anyone who is currently studying the Levels 1 or 2 Awards in Wines
- Anyone who has completed the Level 2 Award in Wines but is nervous about signing up for Level 3
- Anyone who thinks they don't have the tasting skills to pass Level 3 – you do!
This session has been arranged as a follow up to WSET's Virtual Open House, a free event being run by the WSET global team on 19-20 October. If you haven't already, make sure you register for the "An overview of the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines" session at 11am or 7pm BST on Wednesday 19 October! For sessions being run by the team at WSET School London, please check our tastings and events page. We have a selection of events for prospective students taking place throughout Monday 24 October 2022, both online and at our London HQ, including:
