About the presenter, Ed Dallimore
Ed's career in wine began in London in 2008 and about six months in he realised he would be in the industry forever, most recently as a writer and photographer. Working in the world's wine market that is London, he was drawn to the amazing wines – and wine people – of Australia, but felt such a disconnect being 10,000 miles away. So, Ed moved to Sydney in 2012, going on to represent some of the country’s most celebrated producers. The same desire that attracted him to Australia, to discover at source, brought him home to the emerging wine scene in England and Wales, in late 2020. Ever wanting to share great wine – and photograph and write about it – Ed visited 147 English and Welsh vineyards and wineries in 2021, writing his book, The Vineyards of Britain, published in June 2022. The book is all about the wines that are making Britain one of the most exciting wine regions in the world. But it’s also about the people behind them, the sites they are custodians of, their approach and all the good times on offer at these places. It’s about driving awareness, supporting local business and hopefully pointing people in the direction of a few new favourite wines…
