Join Samuel Guibert, owner and head winemaker of Mas de Daumas Gassac to taste some of the Languedoc's most iconic wines.
Event details
Founded in the sleepy village of Aniane, Daumas Gassac has played a pivotal role in transforming attitudes towards the Languedoc, France's largest, oldest, and arguably most underrated wine region.
Originally bottled as Vin de Table, Daumas Gassac's unconventional blends quickly gained world-wide recognition, dubbed by magazine Gault&Millau as "Languedoc’s Château Lafite".
Samuel Guibert will lead guests through a tasting of ten different wines covering vintages going back 25 years, as the estate's head winemaker recounts the amazing story of how the Daumas Gassac rose to prominence.
Enjoy the wines alongside a selection of cheese and snacks from the South of France.

About the speaker, Samuel Guibert
Born in the same year that his parents, Aimé and Véronique Guibert, purchased the rundown Mas Daumas farm, Samuel grew up on the estate and was only six years old when it produced its first vintage. Samuel has worked at the estate since 2000 and, along with his four brothers, took over management in 2009.
Samuel's involvement at the estate began in his youth. From helping at harvest in his late teens to selling wine to cavistes and restaurants across France in his early 20s, he has played a pivotal role in the estate's rise to prominence across the globe. Before returning to France, he spent several years living and working in Australia and New Zealand, where he imported Daumas Gassac's wines for the first time.
