Sometimes viewed as a close second behind the blockbuster regions Burgundy and Bordeaux, it can be easy to forget that the Northern Rhône is home to some of the greatest vineyards, and wines, in the world. You will explore just that at this masterclass, hosted by Alex Centeleghe DipWSET.

Compare expressions of Côte Rôtie as you taste your way down the steep slopes of the Rhône Valley, exploring outstanding examples of Saint-Joseph and Hermitage, finishing with a truly showstopping Cornas. Alex will guide you through the top wines of the region sharing producer stories and insights along the way.

A selection of cheese and charcuterie is included.

About the presenter, Alex Centeleghe DipWSET

Alex Centeleghe DipWSET

Alexandre is a Swiss and French wine specialist based in Lavaux, Switzerland. Graduated from Lausanne Hospitality School (EHL) and from the WSET Diploma 4, he has been working in the wine industry for the past 15 years between Europe, The US and Asia. Alexandre has been giving oenology-related lectures to more than a thousand students from all continents and is dedicated to promote and share wine appreciation in his daily work. He is now giving wine lectures in Switzerland at EHL hospitality school, Changins wine engineer school (for “Ecole du Vin”) and also several wine certifications through his company Pur Jus Education in Lausanne, Geneva, Basel and Zurich.


Booking terms and conditions

Payment in full must be made at the time of booking and places are not confirmed until payment has been received. Unfortunately we cannot take provisional bookings.

Cancellations and transfers

  • Cancellations and transfers can be made up to two weeks before the event.
  • Cancellations within 10 working days are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event.
  • If you need to change a name on the booking, please give us as much notice as possible.
  • WSET School London reserves the right to cancel an event. If necessary, a full refund or transfer will be offered.
