Join Deniz Bayram DipWSET to celebrate the remarkable survival of old vines and the exceptional wines they produce, featuring bottles from Iran, Turkey, and Georgia.

Event details

Explore how some vines have lived through centuries, from the high Zagros Mountains in Iran to the historic lands of Anatolia and the Caucasus. These old vines are not just plants; they are living pieces of history that offer a unique opportunity to discover the taste of inherited generational heritage.

Meet the dedicated winemakers who have worked tirelessly to save these vines from being forgotten. The extraordinary lengths taken to preserve these old vines against adversity continue to inspire enthusiasts around the world. During the evening, you will taste wines made from vines over 150 years old, including rare selections from Iran, Turkey, and Georgia.

This evening is for anyone who is curious about learning how the heritage of ancient varietals is being unearthed, some of which were perhaps used to produce some of the first wines of our human civilisation.

Guests will enjoy the wines alongside a selection of cheese from Mons Cheese.
