Join Shane Jones DipWSET for a deep-dive into Soave Classico - a wine region undergoing a quiet revolution.
Event details
Thought you knew Soave Classico? Think again! This region in the North Eastern corner of Italy has been producing wine since Roman times. These days there is a quiet revolution underway, underpinned by the unique limestone and volcanic soils that contribute vibrancy and concentration to wines from Soave Classico’s single vineyard sites.
Fresh from a recent visit to the region, Shane Jones DipWSET will delve into the region's complex geographical history, and explore how the soils influence the cultivation of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, grapes that form the backbone of Soave Classico. The wines Shane has selected highlight the revolution with respect to viticulture and winemaking, and how these decisions have led to excellence in quality.
