Begin your journey through Spain in the north, exploring internationally-renowned Rioja, stopping off on the verdant Galician coast and trekking through the remote hills of Navarra.
Event details
Join Lauren Denyer DipWSET, our resident expert of all things Española, for an evening exploring Spain's northern-most wine regions.
Start off by the coast of Galicia by tasting zesty Albariño and Treixadura, before heading inland to take in the terraced slopes of Valdeorras. Along the way, you'll discuss how the climate, geography and soil of the region combines to produce some of Spain's most delicate styles of wine. We'll continue east to Rioja, taking a deep-dive into a well-established region that is home to both deep tradition and cutting-edge innovations. Finally, we'll hop over to its lesser-appreciated neighbour Navarra, to learn about the winemakers producing deep rosados and complex reds from its rugged vineyards.
Each tasting in this series will be accompanied by selection of Spanish snacks from Brindisa from cheese and cured meat to Gordal olives.
