The final instalment in Nina Cerullo's exceptional Italian series offers you the chance to taste the vinous delights that the Mediterranean island of Sicily has to offer.
Event details
Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean sea. Known historically for the fortified wine Marsala, the island has become increasingly famed for its volcanic soils, particularly around Etna, one of the world’s most active volcanos. From plummy and ripe wines made from Nero d’Avola to flinty Carricante and perfumed Nerello Mascalese, wines from across the island have become increasingly important to engaged wine consumers.
Join Nina Cerullo DipWSET for the final installment of our annual Italian series to explore the exciting wines emerging from Sicily’s vineyards and discover the range of styles this region has to offer.
We will provide some fine Italian cheese and charcuterie from Crouch's in Borough Market to taste alongside the wines.
This tasting is part 5 of Nina's Italian series. The session can be booked individually, or you can save £55 by booking the series.
