We are delighted to announce that Consorzio Franciacorta has become a WSET Bronze Corporate Patron.
As a Bronze Corporate Patron Consorzio Franciacorta joins a growing list of high-profile organisations who have partnered with WSET in recognition of its vital role in the global wine and spirits industry.
WSET’s Corporate Patron programme provides funding to help us realise our mission as an educational charity to provide accessible, best-in-class, education and qualifications to inspire and empower the world’s wine, spirit and sake professionals and enthusiasts.
The programme also helps organisations add value to their own business by maximising the benefits of training and giving them access to WSET’s global network of professionals and enthusiasts.
Located between Brescia and Lake Iseo, Franciacorta has been established as a consortium since 1990. Franciacorta is renowned for its sparkling wines made from the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc varieties. The region’s sparkling wines are made exclusively by the traditional method.
Ian Harris, WSET Chief Executive, says, “We are honoured to welcome Consorzio Franciacorta as a new WSET Corporate Patron and we look forward to working with them going forward.”
Silvano Brescianini, Consorzio Franciacorta President, says, “WSET is a global reference in wine learning, so as president of Consorzio Franciacorta I am really proud of this collaboration. Being able to contribute to the culture of wine has always been a priority mission for us and therefore we are very pleased with this partnership”.
