The World of Fine Wine has become the latest organisation to support the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) as a Bronze Corporate Patron.

Named Louis Roederer International Wine Publication of the Year three years running, The World of Fine Wine is an award-winning magazine, website and app speaking to an international readership of discerning individuals who each share a passion for wine. Hugh Johnson OBE, renowned and award winning wine writer, and editorial adviser to The World of Fine Wine sums it up best when he says: “The World of Fine Wine takes wine journalism in a new, more sophisticated direction. It is not a consumer magazine, but the first cultural journal of the wine world. It acknowledges that wine-lovers have other interests, too, and the same high standards in whatever they do.”

The World of Fine Wine joins an illustrious list of brands in WSET’s Corporate Patrons programme. The Corporate Patrons programme ensures that WSET receives essential funding to continue to develop its world class courses and qualifications, whilst helping businesses add value to their own business by maximising the benefits of training.

We’re thrilled to welcome The World of Fine Wine as yet another revered organisation in our Corporate Patrons programme. The support we receive from across the industry is fantastic and it is these partnerships and scholarships that allow us to nurture the next generation of wine and spirits professionals.

Ian Harris, CEO, WSET

As part of the new partnership, a new The World of Fine Wine Scholarship will be launched to honour a WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits candidate. The prize of an article published on The World of Fine Wine website and a two-year subscription will be given to an outstanding achiever from outside the UK who excelled in the examination and submitted the strongest essay application. The scholarship will be awarded for the first time at the WSET Awards and Graduation ceremony on 23 January 2017.

WSET Approved Programme Providers, alumni and students will also be able to enjoy 25% off subscriptions to The World of Fine Wine as part of the Corporate Patron partnership.

Wine education has never been more essential or more exciting than it is today, and at The World of Fine Wine we hope to play our part—not only issue to issue and online, but also now through this new Scholarship that we are extremely pleased and proud to sponsor as a Corporate Patron.

Neil Beckett, Editor, The World of Fine Wine.
